Sectoral Transformation: Food Processing Sector
This World Bank-supported Central Sector Scheme is implemented to support the MSMEs through improved market access, credit, infrastructure, market linkages, etc. The total financial outlay for the Food Processing Sector is 27.62 Cr and will be implemented from 2023-24 to 2026-27. This project will be a job-enabler, market promoter, finance facilitator, and will support sustainability and greening initiatives for the MSMEs.
This Project will enhance the performance and competitiveness of MSMEs in the ago and food processing sector of the State by addressing key challenges and fostering sustainable growth.
Following are the range of activities proposed:
o Capacity building
o Technology adoption
o Branding and packaging support
o Innovation and Product Development support
o Supply chain development support
o Market access facilitation, and value chain integration
o Export certification and export market access support
TNAPEx will spearhead the implementation of the "Sector Transformation: Food Processing" project of RAMP program. TNAPEx will work closely with relevant stakeholders and ensure that the project is executed efficiently and effectively.
